I found acupuncture very helpful when undergoing chemotherapy for ovarian cancer. I had seen an acupuncturist for my breast cancer treatment 20 years earlier, and knew I had to do it again for this set of treatments.
Karen was wonderful – helping with my side effects of neuropathy and lymphedema, and giving my immune system a boost. I was on a lot of steroids to assist with nausea and consequently had trouble sleeping. But somehow Karen’s treatment could make my body relax enough so that I took the longest, deepest naps after a session and slept better that night.
It was also very helpful that Karen understood western medicine, so could relate to how I was faring by reviewing results of blood tests.
