Meet Karen Reynolds
Karen Reynolds is a Licensed Acupuncturist and a Registered Nurse whose passion is helping clients bring their mind, body and spirit back to a place of regulation, health and wellness.
Having developed an early love for the sciences, Karen’s first career was as an Intensive Care Unit RN with advanced specializations in open-heart, cardiovascular and kidney related issues. In her late 20’s she suffered from several serious health issues. On a lark, she opted to try acupuncture and both issues resolved entirely.
Her professional passage from life and death critical care nursing to acupuncture is atypical but her clients benefit from her clinical and nursing background, which is a wealth of 34 years of conventional medicine combined with 22 years as a Licensed Acupuncturist; including Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), as well as Daoist philosophy inspired 5 Element Acupuncture.
Karen specializes in acupuncture to help with pain relief, healing after surgery, women’s health, fertility and also for athletic optimization and performance in sports.
She customizes acupuncture treatment plans to help both men and women with a variety of health matters ranging from fertility issues and helping clients start their families to addressing symptoms such as insomnia, hot flashes, anxiety, night sweats and hormonal imbalances or healing after surgery.
Karen Reynolds is a wonderful acupuncturist. She is thoughtful, a great listener and can apply a variety of techniques depending on the situation. I have seen her for everything from a strained achilles, to nausea during pregnancy to treating stress. I highly recommend her!

Karen’s patients describe her as intuitive, humorous, widely read and a practitioner who pays attention to details whether those details pertain to interpretation of blood work, physical examinations, record keeping and any other details that can affect and help their healing. Her treatments are profoundly relaxing, always respect patient privacy, and are tailored to the unique needs of each individual.
When not at work in her private practice in Corte Madera, California, Ms. Reynolds can be found in yoga classes, writing, biking in Marin County or tending to her 3 precocious egg laying hens: Lacey, Camille and Greta.
